Highlights

• Views above lake Thunersee, across to Jungfrau-Mönch-Eiger trio
• Route from Niederhorn to the Gemmenalphorn has been labelled as “the most scenic hiking trail in Switzerland” (I only did the part to the top of Niederhorn, so cannot testify)

Beatenberg cable car station with parking.

Notes

• There is also a funicular connecting Beatenbucht at the lake with Beatenberg
• You could also take the cable car part of (to Vorsass) or all the way up
• Plenty of other hiking options around and along the wonderful ridge above the Grönbach valley
• Dog-friendly
